There are two types of foods rich in fiber
These are foods that cannot be broken down completely by digestive enzymes. They are the best types of fibers to consider. Examples include whole grain foods such as brown rice. Root vegetables such as carrots and potatoes. Fruits, nuts and legumes.
These fibers dissolve in gastrointestinal juices and water when taken in. They are completely digested by bacteria in the large intestine. Examples of insoluble fibers include oats, citrus and psyllium.
Taking lots of water will also help with easing constipation and will soften and smoothen the stool. Try taking at least one glass of water after every one hour. You can use juice in case you feel you’ve taken too much water and want to try a different hydrant. Try taking lemon or radish juice twice a day.
