300g Omena
2 large Tomatoes
1 large Onion
2 cloves garlic crushed Garlic
Well chopped Dhania
Well diced Hoho
3 well diced Green pepper
to taste Salt
2 serving spoons Vegetable oil
3 table spoons Vinegar
1 Lemon

    Omena Fry with lemon is a delicious Kenyan cuisine to prepare. It is easy to fix and affordable as well.

    Wash your Omena in look warm water then allow to dry for two minutes.

    Add vinegar to your dry Omena and mix well and wait for 3 minutes. Vinegar removes the smell that could be a nuisance to some people.

    Warm your cooking pan in low heat and add two serving spoons of Vegetable oil. Add garlic and stir for 1 minute.

    Add Omena to your cooking pan and sprinkle a tablespoon salt then add onions and stir until it turns golden brown.

    Add your well diced tomatoes, hoho and green pepper alias known as pilipili and stir well under low heat.

    Squeeze lemon juice into your cooked Omena and add dhania then leave it to simmer for 5 minutes.

    Serve while hot with ugali.
